With the win, the Shreveport United inched closer to a playoff spot. The United Women need a win or tie to clinch the second playoff spot. If United lose to Baton Rouge United on Saturday, they will need Cajun Rush to lose or tie one of their final three matches. A loss and three wins by Cajun Rush will eliminate United from the playoffs. Shreveport has not lost in their last four matches.
Mississippi Blues have already claimed the Western Conference regular season title and will face the second-place team out of the Eastern Conference. Western Conference’s second-place team will take on the Eastern Conference regular season champion. Currently (as of Wednesday night), Pensacola has clinched a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and currently leads the conference after a win over Gulf Coast United on Wednesday night. Hattiesburg and Florida Roots are still in the running for the playoffs. A lot will be cleared up in the next two weeks.
Shreveport United women will close out the regular season at home on Saturday evening against Baton Rouge United at Loyola’s Messmer Field at 7:15.

Natalie Bianco scored two goals in the win. Saniyah Simon and Caitlin Le Roux each popped the back of the net. Emerson Roberts gained the clean sheet for United.
