Our four Shreveport/Bossier collegiate squads struggled this week as only LSUS Pilots picked up a victory.  Mixed amount of action for all four as BPCC only had one game and SUSLA got in four.

BPCC (2-3) only game this week had them travel to the Big Easy to face Delgado College.  Adrian Walker was the top-scoring Cavalier with 24 points.  Kendrick Delahoussey added 13.  Christian  Caldwell and Jaeden Marshall scored 10 each.

SUSLA (1-7) continued a five-game slide as they lost two on the road and two at home.

Centenary Gents (1-3) dropped two last week.  The Gents also headed to Jackson, MS to compete in the Millsaps Tournament.  Down in Pineville against Louisiana College, the Gents went on a seven-minute scoring drought that allowed the LC Wildcats to go on a 14-0 run and head into halftime down 32-19.  Centenary closed within 6 but couldn’t overcome the big first-half run.  Seth Thomas, Ralph Johnson, and Jarrell Taylor were the top scorers with 8 points.  In Jackson, the Gents lost their first game of the Millsaps Tournament falling to local rival ETBU Tigers.  Jalen Behr netted 14 points.  Jarrell Taylor reached double-digits with 12.

No. 20 LSUS (3-3) split late-week games with a massive 53-point win over and scored 122 points in the win over the North American University Stallions.  Seven different Pilots finished in double digits.  Royce Hunter led the scoring with 21 points.   Akeem White scored 16 points and added 7 rebounds.  Quentin Jones finished with a double-double scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds.  Kelvin Henry, Jr. scored 14 points and added 6 assists and 5 rebounds.  Leondre Washington scored 14 in the win over the Stallions.  Kent Thomas netted 12 points.  Nate Levine added 10 for the Pilots.    The Pilots weren’t as lucky against Division II Mississippi College Choctaws.   Jeff Boyd scored 16 points and added 9 rebounds.  Royce Hunter also scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  Akeem White netted 15 points and 8 rebounds.  Leondre Washington bucketed 12 points and gave 6 assists.
