LA Krewe Gets Revenge On Shreveport United Over Early Season Win

The only blemish on the LA Krewe record came at the hands of Shreveport United after a 1-0 loss at Shreveport.   The Krewe returned the favor eightfold with an 8-0 win over United in Lafayette last Saturday night.   

The Western Conference leaders struck early as GCPL leader goal leader Quesi Weston netted his first goal in the 1st minute.   Kellin Foley put the second goal on the scoreboard with a goal in the 22nd minute.  Weston struck again just four minutes leader making the lead 3-0 for LA Krewe.  Jorge Duran added one more in the first half as LA Krewe took a 4-0 lead into halftime.   Shreveport United tried to change the mix once by substituting Bruny Erickson for Brunel Erickson in the 35th minute.  LA Krewe’s Ricardo Caliman and Jaoa Pedro Costa Leonel exited at halftime. 

Brunel Erickson came out in the 51st minute as Michael Hamauel made his appearance. The Krewe struck for the fifth time in the 57th as Mauricio Andres Rancel hit the back of the net.  LA Krewe’s Jorge Duran exited in the 58th minute so Harrison Houle, Vasbert Leger, and Henrique Pimpao had time on the pitch for LA Krewe.  LA Krewe’s Sami Borchalli made an appearance for Reed Gravolet in the 64th minute.  Shreveport United Thomas Sanford came in to the mix in the 66th minute substituting for Andrew Stuart.  Frederico Gerber and Andrez Joseph came in for LA Krewe’s in the 69th minute. The fresh legs opened up Rancel for his second goal and pushed a 6-0 lead for LA Krewe in the 70th minute.  Shreveport United subbed goalkeeper Sean French in the 74th minute for Mackenzie Soul.  Dril Juno Mbounguo continued to add to the scoreboard for LA Krewe in the 78th minute.  LA Krewe closed out one more time with a 90th-minute goal by Henrique Pimpao and the 8-0 win.  

Shreveport United looks to bounce back with a Sunday afternoon match at 3:00 pm against Central Texas Lobos at Centenary College.
