Local teams found a lot of success in no district matchups over the past couple of days.  

Cancellations still dominated schedules across the board due to COVID-19.  Doyline had games postponed against Stanley and Choudrant.  The Panthers and Lady Panthers have only played 3 games for the season.  Saline has postponed games until December 21 game against D’Arbonne Woods game.  Gibsland-Coleman is postponing games until after Christmas where they will be facing off against Arcadia on December 26. 

Ringgold boys and girls are drumming up some wins on Lake Bisteneau. The boys are currently on a 3 game winning streak.   The Redskins had a win on Monday night against Lakeside.  Keesean Johnson banked 15 points.  Teravion Weathers scored 13 for the Redskins.  Tuesday night got another win at home by beating North Webster.  Jordan Cook had a strong fourth quarter with 10 points on his way to 23.  Johnson stepped up against with 20.   The Lady Redskins must like this time of year because the last time they had back to back wins was the Doyline Tournament last year.  Monday night, Lataja Jones had a dominating 34 point performance against Lakeside.  Lyanla Adams contributed 16 points. Tuesday night the Lady Redskins had a 28 point win over North Webster at home. Jones did it again with 27 points and 5 steals.  Marveles Brown bucketed 12 points and grabbed. 7 rebounds.  Heather Cox scored 11.  Morgan McCarthy banged the boards for 7 rebounds. 

After a tough loss against Rayville on Saturday,  the Calvary Cavaliers bounced back with a win over Loyola.  Daniel Ortiz popped the net for 28 points and collected  4 assists and 3 rebounds.  Labree Willams got a massive double-double with 13 points and 20 rebounds.  Ben Ponder bucketed 7 along with 8 rebounds.  Will Bagley had a career-high 7 assists. 

Homer collected their first win of the season on Tuesday night against Jonesboro-Hodge.  D’ahthong Kimble had bookend double-digit quarters en route to his 34 points.  TyMarkus Tate scored 10 in the third quarter for a final of 16 points.

Haynesville girls got a road win at Plain Dealing.  Marissa Tell got a double-double with 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 blocks.  Za’Kharria Jones netted 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Tremay Curry Curry was a force under the boards with Tell with 9 rebounds.

Dodson Panthers and Lady Panthers. suffered a tough home loss against Monterey on Monday night.  Sadie Beaubouef scored 16 for the Lady Panthers.   Xaiden Hall pocketed 20 points for the Panthers.  Beau Canter contributed 10.
