The LHSAA released the enrollment counts for the beginning of the reclassification process for the next two seasons.  Some of the local districts in 2A, A, B, and C will look different than they do now.

Calvary will move up from Class A to 2A.  Other teams that could fall into their new district could be Loyola, Green Oaks, Lakeside, and North Caddo.  Calvary will also be moving up to Division IV in volleyball

Another interesting item to look forward to will be to see how the current District 1-A will be handled.  When initially drawn, the district had eight teams in the district.  When Glenbrook moved to LHSAA, that placed nine teams.  North Louisiana is top-heavy with 22 teams in Class A.  With Calvary moving up, that will bring it back to eight teams.  Will they keep District 1-A together or break it apart?

Evangel’s enrollment numbers will classify them as Class A but according to GeauxPreps.com, they will be staying in Class 4A.

District 1-B will be looking new as old rivals Doyline and Castor will more than likely stay in the district.   Saline and Dodson will be moving down to Class C.  It will interesting when they draw the lines will they move in with Gibsland-Coleman and Summerfield or District 4-C with Atlanta, Calvin, Georgetown, and Central-Jonesville.  District 4-C will lose Harrisonburg to Class B.

The preliminary plan for district lines should be released next week.

Also, as an announcement about Under The Radar NWLA coverage, we will start covering Class 2A next season.  We’ll announce which teams we will be covering when the final plan is released.
