The LSUS Lady Pilot finally got the proverbial monkey off their back this past week.  The Lady Pilots broke a four-game slide scoring double-digit goals against Texas College.  They started a new streak of two with the win over Jarvis Christian 2-1 in double overtime.  The overtime win broke the streak of five overtime games without a win.  LSUS Lady Pilots are 1-2-3 in overtime matches this year.  The two wins moved the Lady Pilots into seventh place with 10 points in the standing and striking distance within the coveted sixth spot to make the RRAC tournament.  Texas A & M – Texarkana sit on that spot with 14 points.  The Lady Pilots will have to win both games this upcoming weekend and hope TAMTU loses both of their matches.  They will have a tall order to get past second-place Southwestern on Thursday afternoon.

The Men’s soccer team also broke a streak of a four-match winning streak with the 1-1 tie against Jarvis Christian on Saturday.  The tie, though, continues a streak of five games without a loss.  The streak has pushed LSUS into fifth place in the RRAC and looks to be in a solid position to make the conference tournament.  The match with Southwest is a battle for the No. 4 spot which would mean a first-round home match.  Two wins could push them as high as third place in the conference. Two losses and they could end their season.

Here is the recap from last week
