The top seed in Division IV girls’ soccer continued to play on the path to defending their state title.  Loyola had to travel to Baton Rouge to face the No. 17 seed Dunham Lady Tigers (10-9-0).  The Lady Flyers won 2-1 on Thursday afternoon.  Loyola’s first goal came from Madalyn Van Devender with an assist from Ainsley Matlock.  Cassie Campbell scored the second goal. 

The Lady Flyers (16-5-4) will have the comforts of home once again on Monday evening when they will face No. 8 Louise McGehee Lady Hawks. (11-6-1) at Messmer Field at 5 pm.  The Lady Flyers have made the quarterfinals every year since 2009. 

Division IV Boys Second Round

St. Charles 5, Loyola 0

The young Flyers (11-12-1) exited the playoffs on Tuesday evening with a 5-0 loss with a trip to the No. 4 St. Charles Comets (17-4-0).
