Week 6 is rolling around and district play began around in some districts around the area.  Some interesting notes around the area.   Magnolia School of Excellence Mariners have not scored over 20 points in any set since their inception in 2018.  This week against Downsville the Lady Mariners reached the 25 points needed to win a set, but had to go to extra points and fell 24-26 in the third set.   Calvary once again headed down to Baton Rouge and pulled a 3-2 win over Madison Prep.  The Lady Cavaliers are currently the No. 3 in the power rankings in Division IV which if they hold in the top eight means they could host a home first round playoffs.   St. Mary’s and Mansfield had perfect sets this week.

Brooklyn Morris took 10 kills in the win over the Lady Flyers.  Emily Pierce served 7 aces for the Lady Cavs.  Junior Shelby Simmons collected 3 solo blocks.  Alexandra Campanella added another solo  block.  Pierce added 2 assisted blacks.  Morris and Kaylee Thomas each had an assisted block.  Abbey McCarger kept the action going with 4 digs.  McCaughli Hall-Wilson had 15 assists in the win over the Lady Flyers.
