The past weekend saw several local teams participate in tournaments around the state. Calvary traveled south to Sulphur and went 1-2. Doyline traveled to the Stanley Tournament and was unable to pull out a win from Converse or Stanley. Castor participated in the Red River tournament and managed to cross the plate once in two games. The key must have been this weekend was to host as Summerfield took two wins from their tournament.
Ringgold and Dodson decided to have a shootout as the Panthers won 30-20 in the late week matchup.
Saline’s Shawn Staggs pitched a 5 inning no-hitter against Mansfield and gained the win.
