Class A
No. 4 Merryville Lady Panthers 49, No. 5 Haynesville Lady Tors 42
The Haynesville Lady Tors came up short but not without some controversy at the end of the game. The Lady Tors had to battle back from a 25-12 deficit at halftime. Za’Kharria Jones bombed three 3-pointed in the second half to finish with 17 points. Marrissa Tell scored 14 of her 19 points for the night in the second half. Haynesville had finally caught the Lady Panthers at 41. Haynesville was fouled and going to shoot their one-and-one. The referee calls both coaches over and sends Merryville to shoot free throws. A clerical error showed that the Panthers should have shot one and one on a previous foul instead of taking it out. The two free throws were made. Haynesville trying to catch the Panthers again caused fouls that Merryville converted on the line to win the game.
Class C
No. 1 Summerfield Lady Rebels 70, No. 8 Pleasant Hill Lady Eagles 45
The Lady Rebels are heading to Lake Charles after a huge win over the Pleasant Hill Lady Eagles. Yasmine Robinson led the Lady Rebels with 25 points. Alaysia Combs netted 19. Malaysia Tate added 12.
