Shreveport United kicked off their season on a Sunday afternoon matinee match with a 1-0 win over BRSC Capitols.  United are coming off their best season and a quarterfinal appearance in the GCPL playoffs.  The look of the Western Conference has changed some.  United will still face Central Texas Lobos, Cajun Rush, and Alexandria PBFC.  BRSC Capitals have been realigned to the Western Conference this year.  Krewe has moved to USL2.  Red River FC is not competing this year.

United will take the show on the road for the first three games as the first trip was to Baton Rouge to face BRSC Capitols.  The lone goal by David Martinez with an assist from Steven “Bushy” Bush was enough to grab the first win.

The road dogs will be back in action on  Saturday, June 4 at 4:45 at Luis Fiber Stadium to face undefeated Cajun Rush (3-0-0).  Rush has not allowed a goal in any games yet.
