GCPL released their all-conference teams for the East and Western Conferences last week and the two local teams had plenty of representation.  Back to back GCPL Champions Louisiana Krewe had the most players with four.  Shreveport United added three along with the Coach of the Year honor for Francois Brown.   Cental Texas Lobos added two.  Red River FC added one.

Shreveport United added Shreveport soccer veteran Steven Bush to the team as the striker for the All-West team.  Bush scored the second-highest amount of goals in the western conference with nine goals.

Midfielder Daniel Meza made the squad also for Shreveport United.  Meza scored the sole goal in United’s first win on the only loss on the Louisiana Krewe season.  Mesa would score three goals for the season.

Another name known in Shreveport soccer circles, Sean French, qualified for on the backline for the All-West team.

Francois Brown led Shreveport United to their first playoff appearance in club history and was honored with Western Conference Coach honors for the year.

Red River FC’s sole representative on the All-Western Conference team was Abdullah Rayyan at center back position.

Congratulations to all those selected to the team.
