The Lady Pilots and Pilots started the season with some recognition from the Red River Athletic Conference for Player of the Week honors
Lady Pilot’s Chelsea Brown received the RRAC Offensive Player of the Week for August 23-29 honors. The Slidell sophomore has scored all four goals in the three matches for LSUS this season. Brown scored two goals in the 2-1 win over ETBU. This was her fourth multiple-goal game in her college career. She is currently ranked second in goal scoring in the NAIA. LSUS is 1-1-1 for the season.
Two fellow Pilots were nominated for Player of the Week honors for Aug 23-29. Julius Williams who scored the game-winning goal against Lyon College last weekend was nominated. Also nominated was Martin Rasmussen.
LSUS Pilots will return to action at home this coming Saturday at 4 pm against Southwestern Christian College. The Pilots will join the Lady Pilots in a doubleheader on Labor Day against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma starting at 1 pm.
