Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Men’s Golf team finished ninth at the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek on Septemeber 10-12.  UAB, Louisiana, and Southern Miss finished in a 3-way tie for first place in the team competition with 9-under.  Central Arkansas led for the first two rounds but an 11-over third round had the Bears drop to 8th place.  

Middle Tennessee State’s Owen Stamper won the individual competition finishing at 13-under.  Stamper led after the first round but tournament runner-up Houston’s Santiago De La Fuente captured the lead in the second round.  Stamper shot a 4-under in the final round to capture the title.  Khavish Varadan from UAB tied De La Fuente for second place shooting 11-under

Niilo Maki-Petaj was the top Bulldog in the tournament finishing tied for 23rd shooting even par.  Jake Plumb tied for 33rd finishing with 2-over.  Riley Hnatyshyn completed the tourney at 39th place and finishing 3-over. 

Louisiana Tech will head to Oneonta, AL for the UAB GMAC Invitational on September 24-26
