The LHSAA released the volleyball playoff brackets on Monday afternoon. North Louisiana in Division IV and V. Three local teams will host first round games.
Calvary Lady Cavaliers received the No. 4 seed in Division IV and will have the chance to host the first two rounds of the playoffs. Win those two matches and it will be a third consecutive trip to Lafayette to the CajunDome for the state tournament. Calvary (21-4) hosts No. 29 Delcambre Lady Panthers (5-21). Delcambre have lost their last four matches. A win by the Lady Cavaliers and they will get the winner of the St. Charles (10-14) and St. James (13-20).
Many Lady Tigers (12-10) pulled down the No. 11 seed in Division IV and will be home against Patterson (9-13). They will have a Halloween first round matchup. Many could have the chance to play local team No. 27 Mansfield (8-12) who will have to travel Slidell to face No. 6 Pope John Paul II Lady Jaguars (21-8).
Loyola Lady Flyers (9-21) had a tough schedule to contend with and was paid off with No. 14 seed and will host No. 19 Pine Lady Raiders (8-15) out of Washington Parish. A win by the Lady Flyers and they will have to be on the road to the Florida parishes to either face Northlake Christian or Amite.
No. 23 North Caddo (12-15) will have to head on the road to No. 10 De La Salle (5-18). If the Lady Titans pull off the upset, they will have the winner of No. 7 Academy of Sacred Heart – New Orleans and No. 26 Collegiate Baton Rouge.
No. 28 Red River (4-19) snuck into the playoffs and will travel to southwest Louisiana to face No. 5 Notre Dame (25-15).
