Softball season is upon us the first two weeks are already under the belt. This report is normally a weekly report but had to combine it into a two-week report. This will not be the same next week. Calvary started the first week with an 0-4 start as they traveled to Lake Charles to take on some stiff competition including Barbe, Sam Houston, and John Curtis in their first week. They bounced back in the second week sweeping all three games from Northeast Louisiana teams. DJ Lynch is showing to be a powerhouse for the Lady Cavs as she has already accumulated three doubles, three home runs, and 15 RBIs. Week one also saw Doyline, Saline, and Castor all get wins. Week two was weather-challenged as most games were rained out and postponed to a later date. Doyline snuck in the first district win of the season with a 15-0 win over Dadson. Lexi Normand pitched a no-hitter in the district matchup. Arcadia and Plain Dealing should be able to get their first games of the season next week.
