Baseball is in full swing across North Louisiana and district races are starting to form. Arcadia took a key District 1-A to win over Lincoln Prep 15-14. Haynesville also gained a district win over the Homer Pelicans 14-11.
Fellow District 1-A member Calvary took on a battle of North Louisiana titans at Benton. Benton jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third with a home run by Walters and a single scoring Stearns. After back-to-back singles by Jackson Legg and Blane Rogers, Cade Bedgood single scores both to tie the game at 2. A double by Fisher Nance pushes Bedgood to third. Aubrey Hermès single gobs the Cavs the 3-2 lead. Benton pounced in the final inning with a double by Berry to start the inning. Clint Lasiter blasts a double to tie the game at 3. Gates picked up another Tiger double to score Lasiter and give Benton the 4-3 lead. Lawrence single score the final run of the game to give Benton the 5-3 win.
Doyline got their first district win with a 22-3 win over Dodson Panthers.
Summerfield took a big 20-0 win over 4A Woodlawn during the beginning of the week.
