The BAC High School Invitational was held on September 30 at Lambright Sports and Wellness Center in Ruston.  The Calvary Cavaliers and Lady Cavaliers swim team each placed second in the team competition.  Loyola boys swim team finished in the Top 5 in fourth place.  The meet included 15 boys’ teams and 14 local girls teams. Ruston won the boys team competition with 110 points and Caddo Magnet finished first with 98 points.  

Calvary boys team compiled 80 points for the second place finish.  Zachary Ponder made the podium in four events including winning the 200 yard free in 1:49.00, 500-yard free in 4:57.43, and as part of the 400-yard relay in 3:42.90.  Ponder was also part of the runner-up 200-yard medley relay.  Other members of the winning 400-yard relay and 200-yard relay are Eli Haase, Jackson Moton, and Samuel Ponder.  Haase also made the podium finishing second in the 500-yard free and third in the 50-yard free.  Samuel Ponder took third place in both the 100-yard free and 100-yard back.  Morton gave Calvary points in the 100-yard breast finishing second.  

Calvary Lady Cavs also had a second place finish with 70.  Claire Roper snagged three gold medals for the Lady Cavs.  Roper won the 200-yard IM IN 2:21.22 and 100-yard back in 1:02.75.  Roper also won first with the 400-yard free relay along with Macy Monday, Kensey Scoggin, and Elissa Pollitt.  Roper also gained points finishing fourth in the 200-yard medley relay with Monday, Scoggin, and Pollitt.  Monday took top honors in the 500-yard finishing 5:30.98 and took third in the 100-yard fly. Scoggins added individual points for the Lady Cavs with a fourth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and sixth in the 200-yard free.  Pollitt also added a point with her eighth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Loyola Flyer swim team finished fourth overall in the team competition.  Gus Nicolosi won the 100-yard free in 50.47 seconds.  Nicolosi was also part of the fourth place 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard free relay.  Other members of both relay teams are Aaron Gonzalez, Nick Culbertson, and Reece Armagost.  Culbertson also finished as runner-up in the 200-yard IM and added a couple of points in the 100-yard back.  Gonzalez raced to fifth place in the 100-yard back.  

Cedar Creek Lady Cougars finished sixth in the team competition.  Mackenzie Jones reached the podium twice winning the 200-yard free in 2:07.63 and taking second in the 50-yard free.  Hannah Hiers took bronze in the 200-yard IM.  Gracie Jones added points for the Lady Cougars with a sixth place 100-yard breaststroke and seventh place 100-yard fly. 

Glenbrook Lady Apaches took eight place in the women’s team competition with 24 point and gained most points with their relays with two fourth place finishes in the 200-yard free relay and 400-yard relay.  Gwenyth Lott, Molie Thurman, Leslie Shoemaker, Emily Chanler are all members of the 200-yard relay.  Lott, Shoemaker, Thurman, and Adriana Vandenoord were members of the 400-yard relay.  Emily Chanler added points with her fifth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. 

One-man swim team Jack Groce gave Choudrant 13 points and finished in a tie for eight place with Byrd High School and reached the podium twice. Groce was runner-up in the 200-yard free and third in the 100-yard fly. 

Also, a one-man team for Cedar Creek and finished in tie for tenth with Captain Shreve, Camdyn Napper was runner-up in the 100-yard back and fourth in the 100-yard free.

Loyola Lady Flyers was 12th in the team competition.  Emily Rowe gave the Lady Flyers points with a seventh place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.  Isabella Romanski finished eighth in the 200-yard free.  

Samuel Scoggs gave the Glenbrook Apaches a fourth place finish in the 500-yard free

Kaley Jackson put points on the board for Haynesville with an eight place finish in the 100-yard fly.
