Fall ball continued for the BPCC Cavaliers had a good Saturday but a long Sunday.  The Cavaliers also played TCS Baseball on Wednesday afternoon near Dallas in Melissa, TX, and split the doubleheader.   The Cavaliers are now sitting at 7-3 for the fall season.  

BPCC 6, Ponies 4

Collin Young went 3 for 4 for the Cavaliers. Luke Bogan goes 2 for 4 including a double and 2 RBIs.  Gavin Baird finished 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs.  Justin Breen batted 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Treyson Smith picked up a double for the Cavaliers.  Mason Hammonds, Connor Crowson, Cole Ketzner, and Gabriel Cabrera all had hits. 

Trevor Wall got the win for the Cavaliers.  Zachary St. Pierre pitched 5 strikeouts in three innings.  Jordan Spring closed out giving 2 strikeouts in an inning.  

BPCC 7, Tyler Junior College 6

After having a 6-0 lead in the second inning, BPCC had to hold back Tyler as they couldn’t score the next five innings and Tyler chipped away at their lead and go to extra innings.  A double by Treyson Smith sent the game-winning run across the plate for the Cavaliers.  

Connor Crowson went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs.  Treyson Smith hit a double and gained an RBI.  Mason Hammonds picked up a double. Simon Grinberg and Zach Van Gorkam each picked up a hit.  Like Bogan picked up an RBI off of a walk.  

Gage Coffman got the win with one inning pitched and a strikeout.  Cameron Duke pitched three innings and struck out three.  Garrett Lott pitched 1 2/3 innings for four strikeouts.  Aden Harris pitched 1 1/3 innings for three strikeouts.  Ethan Vadement got an inning in with 2 strikeouts.  

Navarro College 14, BPCC 5

The Bulldogs handed the Cavaliers their first loss of the fall season.  A big 6 run inning for Navarro pushed the Bulldogs up 7-2 after two innings.  Another four runs in the fourth had Navarro up 12-4.   The Bulldogs held on for the 14-5 win.  

Collin Young blasted a two-run homer in the fourth inning for the Cavaliers giving him 2 RBIs for the game.  Jake Harvill also added another home run on the opening at-bat of the sixth inning finishing with an RBI.  Gabriel Cabrera added a double and 2 RBIs.  Aden Harris, Luke Bogan, and Cole Ketzner got a hit.   

Noah Torres picked up the loss for the evening pitching 1 2/3 innings with one strikeout on six earned runs.  Miles Justin tossed 2 innings giving up six earned runs and striking out two strikeouts.  Justin Mays pitched 2 1/3 innings with 2 earned runs and 4 strikeouts.  

Dragons 6, BPCC 0

Sunday turned out to be an off day as Dragons shut out the Cavaliers 6-0.   The game was still in reach at 3-0 until the top of the eight where Dragon put another three across the plate.   The Cavaliers managed 5 hits in the game. 

Connor Crowson got the only multiple base got with a double.  Cole Ketzner, Mason Hammonds, Gavin Baird, and Kameron Edwards all added singles. 

Matthew Jeffrey was charged with the loss in three-inning pitched giving up one earned run and striking out one.  Thomas Walsh pitched two innings and striking out four.  Haughton-based Jacob Hernandez tossed two innings and two strikeouts.  Lance Stonebreaker got an inning with three earned runs and a strikeout.  

BPCC 14, TCS Baseball 9 (Game 1)

BPCC jumped out to a 12-0 lead after three and a half innings including an 8-run third inning.   TCS had a five-run in the bottom of the fourth closed the gap to 12-5.  BPCC held on for the win.  BPCC blasted six home runs on the game.  

Collin Young had a great game going 3 for 4 including a home run and a double and collected an RBI.  Justin Breen also hit a homer and a double and picked up 3 RBIs in the win.  Kameron Edwards made it a trio of Cavaliers that hit a home run and a double.  Edwards was credited with 2 RBIs.  Cole Ketzner was one of the six home runs and added a single for 3 RBIs.  Northwood High School alum Luke Bogan blasted a two-run shot out of the yard.   Connor Crowson got two hits including a homer with an RBI.  Simon Grinberg hit a single and added an RBI.  Mason Hammonds and Gavin Baird both hit for singles.  Gabriel Cabrera pushed a run home on the ground out to shortstop. 

Trevor Wall picked up his second win of the season with three innings pitched and striking out 1.  Camden Kay gave up five runs in his third of an inning.  Aden Harris struck out two and allowed two runs in his 1 2/3 innings.  Garrett Lott closed out the last two innings with one earned run and three strikeouts.

TCS Baseball 4, BPCC 2

TCS jumped on a 4-run second inning to take the early lead.  BPCC scored two in the fourth but couldn’t close the gap to give TCS the win.  

Shortstop Dre Amaral got the only two RBIs with a single on a line drive to right field.  Aden Harris, Colby Brooks, Adam Garcia, and Nate Moore all added singles. 

Jordan Spring got the loss with three innings pitched including 4 earned runs and two strikeouts.  Nathan June had two innings on the mound and four strikeouts. Gage Coffman had two strikeouts in an inning.  Lance Stonebreakef closed out the last inning with three strikeouts.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Wednesday at Tyler Junior College.   BPCC will travel to Magnolia, AR at Southern Arkansas University to play against Hill College and National Park College.
