The LSUS Pilots moved to 3-2 for the season with a 3-2 overtime win over Texas Wesleyan University (4-3-1) on Wednesday afternoon.  The Pilots had to climb back to push the game to overtime and a game-winning goal in the 93rd minute by Martin Veys with an assist by Guilherme Pereira.  Emotions ran high in the match as 10 yellow cards and 2 red cards were issued against Texas Wesleyan making it an 11 on 9 player situation favoring the Pilots.

The Rams started early in the 12th minute as James Kerr took the sole first-half goal.  LSUS struggled with the offsides flag as they were called for three in the first fourteen minutes.  Martin Veys, Abdoul Karim Pare, Adam Gonzales, and Arsenious Dimitrious came on the pitch on the 20th minute.  Julius Williams was charged with a yellow card.  Pare took the first shot for the Pilots in the 29th minute.   Pare was charged with a yellow card in the 41st minute.  Texas Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead into halftime.  The Rams outshot LSUS 4-3 in the first half.

The second half was not looking promising for the Pilots.  Texas Wesleyan added another goal in the 50th minute with a penalty kick goal by Mario Herrera.  The penalty came as a result of a yellow card against Hunter Hulin in the box.   Texas Wesleyan then went to 10-men as James Kerr received a red card.  Jake Strachan for the Pilots also faced a yellow card.   LSUS struggled with the referee whistle for the next 10 minutes getting another yellow card followed by two more fouls and also a mother offsides call.  Maurice Theart managed to get shot within ten minutes.  Liam Vivian, Hugo Juliao, and Pare subbed into the game.  Pare took another shot after two corners by the Pilots.  No luck.  Scott Neil and Guilherme Pereira entered the match.  Neil took a shot wide.  LSUS received their 5th corner of the second half.   Alex Golder and Gledi Doda subbed into the game.  Matej Jovanovic subbed back into the match for the Rams.   Forty-one seconds later, Jovanovic received a second yellow card turning to red, and give the Pilots a two-man advantage.   LSUS took advantage.  A shot by Golder and Pereria went wide. The third time was a charm as Pare scored with an assist from Neil in the 81st minute.  Pilots are still down by one late.  Julius Williams and Martin Veys reentered the match.   The Rams managed to keep the ball on their third to have two corners.  LSUS got it back downfield and managed to have three consecutive corners.  Pereira took a shot that was saved by the Rams goalkeeper.  With 22 seconds remaining in regulation,  Pare’s shot hit the target and sent the match into overtime tied at 2-2.  

Both teams came out aggressive Doda took a shot in the first minute of overtime but went wide.  The Rams took a shot by Mathis Guffroy but were blocked.  Texas Wesleyan had a corner to no avail.   LSUS completed the 3 goal comeback when Veys connected with an assist from Pereria in the 93rd minute. 

LSUS will have their fourth consecutive home game on Sunday at 11 am as they will face No. 8 University of Mobile Rams
