It’s time for some football and with scrimmages in the background, LHSAA begins with the lone preseason jamboree games. A time for the fans to get fired up about their local teams. The majority of local jamborees will be competing on Friday and some locations have been changed and times changed due to the lingering front we’ve had for the past week. Here is the schedule for your local teams and jamborees
Pineland Jamboree
The location has been changed to Lakeside High School in Sibley. Haynesville and Minden will kick off the jamboree at 6:30. Defending Class A state champion Homer will be the next opponent for Minden. The home team Lakeside will then face Haynesville. Homer will take on North Webster following. Lakeside and North Webster will close out the jamboree.
Bossier Parish Jamboree
Plain Dealing will face 4A Bossier Bearkats at 7:15 at Airline High School
Cenla Jamboree
Glenbrook Apaches will head south to Alexandria and face Rosepine and Ferriday at Holy Savior Menard at 5:30 and 6:30, respectively
Desoto Parish Jamboree
The Logansport Tigers and Mansfield Wolverines will square off against North Desoto at Mansfield. Logansport will compete against Mansfield at 7 pm. Logansport will stay on the field and battle the North Desoto Griffins. Mansfield will get their shot against the 4A Griffins in the closing matchup.
Jennings Jamboree
The Many Tigers will head down to Jefferson Davis Parish to compete in the Jenning Jamboree. The Tigers will face the home team Jennings in the closing game.
Landers Dodge Jamboree
Calvary Cavaliers will host the Union Parish Fightin’ Farmers at 6 pm at Jerry Barker Stadium.
Bayou Jamb
Some local teams will compete on Saturday at Joe Aillet Stadium at Louisiana Tech. Lincoln Prep and Red River will kick off at 11 am. Jonesboro-Hodge will face Franklin Parish at 1 pm. Cedar Creek will welcome the Evangel Eagles at 5 pm.
Delhi Community Jamboree
Ringgold, Arcadia, and Magnolia SOE will represent District 1-A at Richwood High School on Saturday. Ringgold will face Delhi Charter at 3:30. Arcadia takes on General Trass following at 5 pm. Delhi Charter and Magnolia SOE round out the jamboree at 6:30.
Natchitoches Jamboree
Loyola, St. Mary’s, and Lakeview will show off down at Turpin Stadium on Friday night. Loyola will start at 6 against Natchitoches-Central. St. Mary’s and Lakeview will start at 8.
Caddo Parish Jamboree
The Green Oaks Giants will take on North Caddo at Independence Stadium following Huntington and Woodlawn on Friday. Varsity and JV will compete.
