District 1 had an impact this season for North Louisiana volleyball in the playoffs this season. Three of the six teams hosted first-round playoff matches. Loyola was one match away from making an appearance in the state tournament. Calvary made a second consecutive trip to the state tournament taking Notre Dame to the limit in five sets in the quarterfinals.
Calvary took all three top awards with Kiya Casey taking district MVP, Caroline Christler as top libero, and Jonathan Casey grabbing Coach of the year. The Lady Cavs also had seven First Team All-District. Alexander Campanella, Macaughli Hall-Wilson, Allie Hutchings, Katie Kent, Brynn Lovitt, Emily Pierce, and Shelby Simmons received the First Team Honor. Brooklyn Morris and Addison Stevenson garnered Second Team All-District.
Loyola grabbed four First Team honors. Abbie Anderson, Makayla Horton, Taylor Nash, and Emma Sipes received the First Team honors. Olivia Hudson, McCullough Lawson, and Madison Turner were added to Second Team All-District. Kinley Barron and Mallory Thompson received Honorable Mention.
North Caddo’s Peyshance Peek made the First Team for the Lady Titans. The Lady Titans had the most on the Second Team with four. The Lady Titans on the second team are Olivia Dial, Ronniesha Leopoldo, Madyson Smith, and Allison Woodell.
Many Lady Tigers had three make the Second Team All-District. Gracie Baker, Sara Kate Booker, and Kierstyn Williams made the Second Team All-District.
Red River’s Charity Ashton was selected for the Second Team All-District. Leigha Christen and Jolene Jones was selected as Honorable Mention.
