LSUS 0, MidAmerica Nazarene 0 (Friday) (Men)

The Pilots (0-0-2) were handed their second consecutive tie as they finished shorthanded due to red cards in the final 6 minutes.   The yellow card flowed freely in Olathe, Kansas as LSUS was flagged for 5 yellow cards and 2 team red cards.  MidAmerica Nazarene was charged with 4 yellow cards.   Jack Thomas and Joel Trub were the top shot takers with three each.  Goalkeeper Kyle McIeish got the shutout and two saves.  LSUS had the shot advantage over the Pioneers 10-5.

LCU 0, Mobile 0 (Saturday) (Women)

LCU Lady Wildcats (0-0-1) opened the soccer season with a scoreless tie in Pineville on Saturday morning. The Lady Rams outshot LCU 14-8.  Mobile had 7 shots on goals and gave Jaycee Woods 7 saves.  Kamsi Nwosu and Maria Lonso were the top shot takers with two apiece.  The Wildcat defense also withstood 10 corners opportunities in their third.

Science and Arts of Oklahoma 2, LSUA 0 (Women) (Saturday)

The Lady Generals (1-1-0) dropped their first match of the season as they fell 2-0 to USAO.  The Drovers bombarded LSUA with 22 shots to 4.   USAO had 8 corners for chances in their third to only 1 for LSUA.  Avery Wright stayed busy with 10 saves.  Ksenija Pavlovic had the most shots with 2.  

USAO’s Daniela Salinas took the first goal in the 32nd minute.  Andria Harris was credited with the assist.  The Drovers held on for the 1-0 lead to halftime. 

The Drover’s took the second goal by Clara Rodriquez in the 79th minute with Mabel Cremers assist.

LSUA 1, Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Men)(Saturday)

The LSUA Generals moved to 2-1-0 for the season with a 1-0 win over the Chickaha, Oklahoma based Science and Arts of Oklahoma Drovers.  The Drovers received an early red card in the 26th minute and had to play with 10-men.  USAO received a second red card in the 55th minute dropping another player down.  LSUA took advantage and fired off 18 shots to USAO’s 4.  Paul Adler, Joshua Angel Craven, and Alfie Lee each had three shots for the Generals.  Goalkeeper Valeriu Tarlev had one save.  

The lone goal for the Generals came from an own goal by the Drovers in the 81st minute
