WEEK 4 PREVIEW
HAYNESVILLE GOLDEN TORS (3-0, 2-0) v. ARCADIA HORNETS (1-2, 1-1)
Haynesville will look to continue to keep their record perfect as they travel on the road to Arcadia. The Hornets are coming off their first win of the season as they had to put 54 on the board to pull out the win. Can quarterback Tyler Jefferson pile up the touchdowns again this week? Haynesville potent ground attack could overwhelm the Hornet defense.
LINCOLN PREP PANTHERS (0-3, 0-2) v PLAIN DEALING LIONS (1-2, 0-2)
The Panthers have only scored 7 point in three games. The Lions LaDavious Scott has been a beast for the Lions scoring along with Darrien Perry on both sides of the ball. Plain Dealing very well could give Coach Christopher Wilson his first district win.
CALVARY CAVALIERS (1-2) v. CLARKSVILLE PANTHERS (ARK) (2-4)
After jumping into the frying pan facing the Haynesville Tors last week, the Mariners will be jumping into the fire with the Calvary Cavaliers. Joshua Jefferson and Me’Ciah Butler had over 100 and 200 yards, respectively in offense, they will run into a brick wall against the Cavs defense with Dustin Lang and Lattarius Jackson. Also, Landry Lyddy will break the 1,000-yard mark on passing in the first 4 games. He’ll have some healthy targets behind Jordan Wallace and Joseph Wilson. May be a long night for the Mariners
UPDATE: The Magnolia Charter Mariners have cancelled their game with Calvary for Friday night. Calvary head Coach Rodney Guin has found a replacement game five hours away with Clarksville Panthers in Arkansas.
HOMER PELICANS (2-1) v. NORTH CADDO TITANS (1-2)
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on the Ringgold Redskins this week, the Pels had to hunt for another opponent and they found one in Vivian as they will host the North Caddo Titans. The Pels are on a two game winning streak and undefeated in district. Their only loss came at the beginning of the season against Holy Savior Menard in Alexandria. Quarterback Takevuntae Kidd has had two big games of five touchdowns. The senior laden offense could prove big in this game. North Caddo are no strangers to stepping up and taking COVID-19 replacement games. This will be the second replacement game they have played. North Caddo is coming off a two game losing streak. The combined record of the two teams is 5-1.
