The Black Bears traveled to Alexandria on Saturday and brought back a 4-2 win over Alexandria PBFC.  Red River FC finished their first road four-game road trip at 2-1-1.   

The Pool Boys struck early on the 5th minute with a goal by Noor Isa.  The Black Bears took a while later in the first half at the 30th minute as Rafa Muniz found the back of the net to even the score at 1-1.   Red River struck again in the 40th minute as Daniel Maierhofler gave the Black Bears the 2-1 lead.   Both teams made substitutions in the 40th minute as  Kievon St. Paul for the Alexandria PBFC came in for Osvaldo Da Gloria.   Maierhofler went out after his goal and Raymond Corea came in.   Red River FC held on for the 2-1 lead into halftime. 

The Black Bears didn’t take long to push the lead further as JP Santos popped the back of the net to take the 3-1 lead in the 48th minute.  Alexandria started looking for the right combination to close the gap.   Tanner Burt came on the pitch for Martin Iddon in the 49th minute.  First, goal-maker Noor Isa substituted out for Brett Judd in the 57th minute.   Red River went on the defense with some fresh legs as Israel Banda made an appearance substituting in for JP Santos.   Alexandria continued to send more out as Montaser Salam made an appearance in the 66th minute.   Black Bear’s Che Walcott hit the pitch for Futa Kubo in the 70th minute.  Walcott picked a quick yellow card in the 72nd minute.   Alexandria brought in Ian Ragsdale and Zach Clear within the next six minutes to try and close the gap.   Red River was attempting to secure the win in the final ten minutes with additional new players as Jonathan Chemell and Nimmer Hammad hit the pitch.   Hammad was on for two minutes when he got the opportunity to score and push the lead to 4-1 in the 89th minute.    Alexandria went for the additional time goals and succeeded on one as Ian Ragsdale made the final goal of the game.   Red River has remained unbeaten in their last three games 

The Black Bears will finally get to say “home sweet home” as they will get their first home match at Minden Recreational Center Stadium at 5 pm. Red River FC will face Central Texas Lobos.  This will be the first of a two-game homestand for the Black Bears.
