Several streaks continued through the week. Calvary took the week off last week but continued their 5 game streak with wins over Loyola. Red River had a four-game run-rolling streak until Southwood took them 5 sets. Doyline started their first winning streak with back-to-back wins over Magnolia and BTW.
Heading into the final month of the regular season, it’s time to look forward to the post-season with our first playoff predictor. Of the 11 teams covered by UTRNWLA, four teams are currently in playoff range. Calvary is the only team that would host a home playoff game. The Cavaliers are No. 4 in the Division IV power rankings according to Geaux Preps. St. Mary’s would be the only team from Division V Although they would have to go on the road. Many and North Caddo would also be on the road for the first round. Right outside the did of 32 is Red River at No. 34 in Division IV. Mansfield is in striking distance at No.38. An important factor to look at is the race to get 20 games before the end of the season. If a team does not reach 20 games, they are ranked below teams that have reached that goal.
District play will heat up in the coming weeks. Big matchup in Division V as St. Mary’s won over Downsville and could be on the way to a district title.
