Rain, rain, go away although we’ll be hollering for it in August. Tuesday and Wednesday slate of game was wiped out due to wet fields around the area. The Lakeside tournament helped push some games out. Calvary and Glenbrook each had a big week going 3-1 and enough to put six on the Hot 9 this week. Some big performances that were right outside top 3 pitching had Cooper Duff from Dodson getting 10 K’s against Ringgold and Cayden Mingo struck out 11 against Haynesville. Shawn Staggs from Saline and Hayden Harmon from Glenbrook each collected 9 strikeouts. The Top 3 pitching was tightly contested this week with the three selected having a WHIP of less than 0.67. Interestingly enough, no home runs for the second week in a row. Come back next week to see more of what our local schools have.
