Lots of action around the diamond last week as the transition from basketball moved to baseball for a lot of teams around the areas. We are in the heart of tournament action. Calvary and Glenbrook took part in the 70-team Trey Altick tournament which was spread around Northeast Louisiana. Doyline took an opportunity to participate in the Minden tourney. Arcadia, Plain Dealing, and Ringgold participated in the Downsville tournament. Castor traveled to Vivian to play in the North Caddo tournament. Calvary had the hot hand this week going 3-1 for the week. It showed on the Hot 9 and Top 3 as they placed 3 on the Hot 9 and had two of the three pitchers in the Top 3. The game of the week has to go to Noah Spears from Doyline as he had a no-hitter with 18 strikeouts against Haynesville on Monday. Also batting performance, check out Ringgold’s Jarred Durr who went 6 for 6 last week.
