At the beginning of December, the view for the beloved Shreveport Mudbugs was very grim as they sat in last place and six points out from the seventh place.  The six-week road trip was not very kind to the boys.  Last weekend, a ray of playoff hope has shone through.  The Mudbugs took 4 of a possible 6 points over the weekend but moved into fourth place.  The top four in the South Division will qualify for playoffs.  The boys have now moved from a seasonal offense attack to a defense of staying in the top four.   The Mudbugs bumped the Odessa Jackalopes down to the fifth.  A make up game against division-leading New Mexico Ice Wolves gave fans a Sunday Funday at George’s Pond.
