The Shreveport United came back strong with a 4-0 win over Alexandria PBFC at Louisiana College on Saturday night.  United stopped a three-game winless streak with the win and moved into a tie for third place with local Red River FC.

Shreveport United didn’t take long to score as Adam Bihler netted the only goal for the first half in the 13th minute.  The Pool Boys tried to change up the lineup in the first half by bringing in Daniel Gama for Martin Idon.  United took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Alexandria continued to look for the right combination as a substitution in the first minute of the second half saw Christian Hyde sub-in and Andres Guillen exit.  Shreveport United struck a second goal with a David Martinez shot.   Changes on both sides started coming.  United brought fresh legs from Bruno Palmeri for Daniel Meza.  Alexandria subbed Osvaldo Da Gloria for Jonathan Cruz.   United wanted to secure the three points one more time with Gin Pau and Adam Bihler coming out and Andrew Stuart and Carlos Martinez making an entrance.   Shreveport added insurance in extra time as Bruno Palmeri and Andrew Stuart both punched the back of the net to solidify the 4-0 win.

Shreveport United will look to add another three points to the table as they will face fifth-place Cajun Rush on Saturday night at Lee Hedges Stadium at 7:15 pm.
